Enneagram Retreat Group for Diamond Approach Students

The idea behind this group is twofold: first, to deepen and integrate a broader knowledge of the enneagram than students may have already been exposed to in their ongoing Diamond Approach groups; and second, to possibly develop into a training for those wanting to develop their ability to teach the enneagram from the inside-out, returning this wisdom teaching to its fundamental ground and thus making it accessible as a tool of radical transformation.

Please note, this retreat group is for students participating in an ongoing Diamond Approach group.

Teaching

In addition to receiving teaching from Sandra, students will draw on their own personal experience of their development to discover how that experience relates to the territories mapped by the enneagram, both egoic and realized. It is through this mixture of receiving oral teaching and sincere personal exploration that students can awaken to the truths and interrelationships of the various dimensions of the enneagram wisdom.

The format will include lectures, personal inquiries, group discussion and process groups. Subjects covered will include the following:

  • The inner triangle and its relationship to the theory of holes
  • The inner flow and the soul (this includes the heart point work)
  • The Holy Ideas
  • The passions and virtues
  • The instinctual subtypes
  • The idealized aspects
  • The original teaching on the wings
  • Defensive mechanisms
  • Other enneagrams

Where, When and How Much

The group will meet once yearly for six days in a residential retreat format at Santa Sabina Center in San Rafael, California. The retreat will be held January 27 through February 1, 2009. At this point, Santa Sabina tends to finalize their calendar about a year in advance.

Cost for each retreat is $1,040 per person (for a double room) and $1,140 (for a single room), which includes tuition, process groups, meals, accommodations and administrative costs. Private sessions may be arranged for $90 each. If you know in advance that you would like a private session, please let our Retreat Coordinator know... this will help the private teachers plan their availability. There are a limited number of single rooms which will be assigned on a first come, first served basis... so if having a single room is important to you, please make sure to register soon. If you stay off-site and take no meals at Santa Sabina, the cost is $675. If you stay off-site and would like lunch and dinner at Santa Sabina, the cost is $845. Both off-site prices include a $26 per day commuter fee charged by the retreat center. A deposit of $400 is required to reserve a space.
